Welcome To my web page!

I have created this site to get my services and myself known as well as help people who for one reason or another are having difficulties in fixing, upgrading, debugging, programming or learning how to use their PC, or software.

I would like you to send me an e-mail telling me what you would like to see on my web page either to help you with your computer or to increase your knowledge in the field. This will help me in deciding what to put on my web page. Thank you.

Current Projects

Vancouver Island Bed & Breakfast Computerized Info Centers

This is a very interesting project I am working on with Dan Moen of InnTel Advertising who produce direct dial communication centers. The product we are working on is a Video Clip database for the different Bed & Breakfast, Hotels and Tourist attractions around Vancouver Island, which would be setup in conjunction with a direct dial console so that a tourist after browsing through the video clips and finding the Bed and Breakfast he really likes would just punch in the 2 digit code for the bed & breakfast on the direct dial console to reach them on the phone for reservations, etc.

My part in this project is the designing and programming of the database as well as putting the computers together to run the database.

Vancouver Island Virtual Art Gallery

This is a pet project of mine. I have a lot of friends on the Island that are very good artists. Most of them sell their works to the great amount of tourists that come to the Island every summer. That leaves the rest of the year where not a lot of sales occur. So I thought if they could have a place to display their works of art, where a lot of people could go see them and order them right then and there this would really help these guys. So I have started gathering different artists from this area and will be starting on the site itself probably by early spring. I will let you know when it is done and what its address is.

Biographical Information

I was born in Quebec City, Canada along with my twin brother Rémi on the 24th of September 1966.

While I was growing up, I always had this fascination with how things worked. I remember at the age of seven. My brother and I went to the basement and took apart my dad's radio to see how it worked. My dad was not very happy when he saw his radio, but he let us put it back together and it worked fine (even though we had a few parts left over when we were finished).

By the time I was a teenager, I could fix radios, TVs, and electrical appliances. This fascination with electronics led me right to computers that were starting to be used in high school. Having my electronic background really helped me grasp the concept of Computers and Computer programming to the extent that in grade ten I was asked to teach a one week segment of the Computer programming course of the school, dealing with computer electronics and machine language programming. That was an experience that really got me interested in teaching. At that time I also landed my first job as User Support for the Ottawa Board of Education as part of their Choice program. I helped the School Guidance Counselors become proficient in the use of the Choice computer program so as to help students find out the types of jobs they are best suited for according to their personality. As well as going out into the community and demonstrating the program and how its use was helping students decide on a career that was best suited for them.

From there I went onto college and university majoring in computer Sciences. And have been working in the field since then, although I did continue to learn and diversify my knowledge and skills in other areas namely Electricity, Plumbing, Roofing and many other construction related activities. I also...you guessed it, fix cars.
